The open and free club for all things cycling --- rides, routes, events and campaigns

You can find out about all our planned rides on our rides pages.
  • Our road rides list – free group rides from 25 to 60 miles all year round – to the end of June 2015 (with only a few gaps to fill), is available there.
  • MTB rides to the end of May 2015. Come along and bring your friends!
  • Chris Rowley is also planning a weekend’s outing to Shropshire at the end of March. Do get in touch with him (chrisrowley@phonecoop.coop) if you want to join us there.
At our Christmas meal we voted once again for this year’s favourite refreshment point for cyclists in the local area. The clear winner (by 13 votes!) was the brilliant Brief Encounter café at Carnforth railway station. The Lunesdale Bakery in Kirkby Lonsdale and The Churchmouse in Barbon were the runners up. And if you’re looking for somewhere to stop when you’re out on two wheels, download a list of KDCS-recommended cafés in the local area by clicking here (Excel spreadsheet) and view (most of) them on a map here

To visit our flickr photo galleryclick here. To contribute, just  email us your KDCS ride photos. There are also lots of interesting cycle-related stories on campaigns, KDCS trips and other useful tips to be found on our blog. We also have a KDCS Facebook group. You can link to it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/911254752264695/ Our Thursday MTB group has a Facebook group, too, which is available here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/478750782192198/ Happy posting (or lurking if that’s more your thing).
