Welcome to KDCS: we are a cycling club based in Kendal with over 150 members. With the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep we enjoy exploring the area by bike, on and offroad (or both), in a leisurely and sociable way. Ride Update - Saturday 14th February

Saturday 14th Feb Start: 9.30am at Kendal LC – leader(s) to be decided on the day

For family reasons, Mark Bazeley is unable to lead the ride on Saturday. 

Details are shown below for those who wish to follow his proposed route. 

The ride from the Leisure Centre at 9.30 on Saturday 14th Feb is to Sedbergh via Docker and Beckfoot and 2 miles of the A684 for an elevenses coffee stop (c 14 miles), then on 8 miles more to Barbon for lunch, then back via the metal bridge over the Lune at Rigmaden and up to Old Hutton and Kendal, c 35 miles in total.

As always it is weather – dependent, going up and down hills.

Unless the committee decide otherwise, the route on Saturday is ultra straightforward – past the station, left at Station Inn, r at x-road, l at Toll Bar, r at Kiln Head, over M6, l down to Beckfoot, r at B6257 to end, l on A684 to Sedbergh (tea), then A683 and back lane to Barbon (lunch), home via metal bridge and whichever way back.
