Description

From the front of the Leisure Centre go left on the short shared path, before joining the main road and staying in the left hand lane to the lights.

Fork left at the lights (Oxenholme/ Station/ Old Hutton sign) and follow the road up to the station and steeply up to the Station Inn and beyond.

In a mile + Old Hutton/ Middleshaw is reached, and the ride here goes right (unsigned) onto Popplemire Lane, which gradually rises to the T at Holmescales Farm.

Go right, gradually dropping down to Gatebeck. Just after the first houses there, take a left turn (sign Crosslands/ Kirkby Lonsdale) off the main road, for  a steady climb, steep in places, before flattening, and passing under the M6 bridge to Crosslands Farm, on the Kendal to Kirkby Lonsdale B road.

The return is simply going left here, and continuing on to the Leisure Centre – through Old Hutton, past the Station Inn and down to the start point.
