Description

From the front of the Leisure Centre go left on the short shared path, before joining the main road and staying in the left hand lane to the lights.

Fork left at the lights (Oxenholme/ Station/ Old Hutton sign) and follow the road up to the station and steeply up to the Station Inn. Go left here (Sedbergh sign).

The road climbs gradually for a mile, and at the main road hairpin (Sedbergh/ 70 sign) go right and immediately left (blue 70 bike sign), biking on to a crossroads, where go right (70/ Sedbergh) up a steeper hill and past Fisher Tarn reservoir on the left. Soon after you come to a white bungalow, where turn left (70) and continue on this pleasant lane before dropping down past a farm, then turning right (unsigned) for more elevated views.

Continue on this pleasant lane, then cross straight over at the main A684 crossroads for the nice descent to and through New Hutton.

Simply continue on, past Borrans Farm and then comes a good descent to meet the B6254 Kendal – Old Hutton road.

The final part of the route goes right, climbs a little to the Station Inn then drops down past the railway station to the lights on the main A65 road, the Leisure Centre now being a minute away on the right.
