KDCS – The Kendal & District Cycle Scene

The new shared pedestrian/cycle route through Kendal – the Riverside Route – was voted through on Friday 18 July and is due to be implemented before the end of this financial year – ie the end of March 2009 – and we will be watching developments closely. To read more, visit our News page.

We are planning to restart our popular programme of slide shows and talks soon, courtesy of Heather and Patrick at the Duke of Cumberland who have offered us their upstairs room for nothing, on condition that members buy a few drinks. Watch this space/check your emails (you can sign up to be on our mailing list or volunteer to give a slide show on our Contact page) for announcements about the first meeting and future programme.

The KDCS Christmas meal (and slide show) will once more take place at Wilf’s Cafe in Staveley Mill Yard – this year on Wednesday 10 December. Full details will be going out by the end of October so keep checking your email (you can join the list on our Contact page) if you’d like to be sure of booking your place.
