Thanks to Jo MacDonald for organising a fabulous weekend trip to the North York Moors in April. They had some big rides, sunny weather and explored a few of local beers, too. Read all about it and browse the photos on our blog.
South Lakes Action on Climate Change are working on a project to increase cycling in Kendal town centre, with some funding from South Lakeland District Council, with a view to improving air quality in the town. If you’d like to help them do it, you can read more about it on our blog.
Our latest road cycling rides list is available to download on our Rides page (up to the end of June 2013). These are free group rides from 25 to 60 miles in length, mainly starting from Kendal but also from places as far afield as Ulverston and Crook o’ Lune. We’ve also just updated the list of our Easy Tuesday rides for the first half of the summer and our MTB rides for May and June. Come along and bring your friends!
You can also download a list of KDCS-recommended cafés in the local area by clicking here (Excel spreadsheet) and view (most of) them on a map here. Please feel free to send any new suggestions you discover in 2013 to Chris Rowley and we will put the whole list into the hat for another vote next Christmas.
