3 Day Yorkshire Dales MTB trip 8-10/7/20

Based near Hawes 3 days mountain biking. Either come for the day or stop over for evening gatherings.

Day 1 Wed 8/7

Muker to Tan Hill 28k graded black so some tough riding. 915m of ascent.

Start Muker in Swaledale 10.30amGR 911 978
Bridleways at the western end of Swaledale, mineworkings, Gills, woods and the Tanhill Tavern half way. This ride has it all.

Day 2 Thursday 9/7

Bainbridge, Raydale, Stake Allotments. Start Bainbridge village green 10.30am GR 935901. 26k plus a short loop to Aysgarth falls and tea rooms halfway through. 655 metres of ascent graded red. Nice ride for day 2 visiting the hamlets of Countersett, Marsett and Stalling Busk forming a triangle around Semer Water.

Day 3 Friday 9/7

Thoralby, West Burton, Carlton Moor and Melmerby. Start Thoralby ( car park behind village hall ) 10.30am GR 000868. 22k plus optional extension. Graded Red. Ascent 595m +. Short tough circuit to the summit of Burton Moor / Carlton Moor. Great descent to Carlton ( pub ). The optional extension to Agglethorpe loops round to rejoin the original route. Nice descent towards West Burton near the end.
